Antaheen – “an endless story about relationships”. Dynamic cast – Aparna Sen, Sharmila Tagore and Rahul Bose. Aparna Sen has done great as Paro di. She looks stunning and has out shadowed the character of Brinda, a journalist. Paro di has left her husband Ranjan da years back but both still possess some feelings for each other. Rahul as Abhik is an IPS officer lives with his aunt. He gets into unnamed virtual relationship with Brinda thorough internet. Brinda showcases the life of a journalist how she tries to get into intricacies of a controversial project by interviewing renowned real estate entrepreneur, V K Mehra. Both Abhik and Brinda, somehow, starts liking each other and discuss every day’s lives. The catch is they don’t even know each other’s name! But one day she finds resemblance between her internet friend and Abhik in the way both talk! Unfortunately, that was their last chat as she had died in a car accident and her murder had been left as a mystery.
Though climax is tragic, the whole movie keep you involved throughout with its storyline, cast’s acting and their conversations! A well directed flick – dialog based. Loved 2 beautiful conversations – one when Abhik’s aunt tells her experience which she had with anonymous person on phone; another between Paro di and Abhik when they discuss her past with Ranjan da and she says, “Sometimes absence is needed to feel a person’s presence more intensely!”
A must watch for everyone who means/understands relationships! Who knows if you are in the same situation…
